For Field Participants

Before joining fieldwork connected to any NBI-operated field camp in Greenland (e.g. EastGRIP or GRIP), all participants must undergo medical testing and sign a liability waiver. If you are visiting a field camp as a guest, different rules apply. Please find the relevant information via the links below.

All participants going to an NBI-operated camp for field work (except for short visits, Guests in the Field Camps) are required to pass a health examination and screening in order to be allowed to go to the field camp. The field operations medical team in Denmark handles this. The procedure is described under Medical Testing Procedure.

If you are visiting a field camp as a guest for less than a week during a flight period you are not required to follow the same medical testing procedure as the field work participants. Read more under Guests in the Field Camps.

All persons, including visitors, going to Greenland as part of the Green2Ice/EGRIP field campaign must familiarize themselves with basic Arctic safety. More information is found under Safety.

All persons, including visitors, going to Greenland as part of the Green2Ice/EGRIP field campaign implicitly give their consent to the following use of pictures/recordings by accepting to participate in the field campaign. Additional rules or limitations may be enforced by the field leader in special cases. More information is found under Media Use Policy.
